Hello Strangers its time for some Totoro

Hello I am back,
   So the next movie I choose to watch and talk about is a old classic that I have watched many time and love more every time i see it. Its called "My Neighbor Totoro" it is another Hayao Miyazaki film.

The movie originaly came out April 16, 1988 and then got re released in 2006 with I think better voice actors. I have seen both versions of the film, one when I was in high school and the new one I own. :) The first one was done by fox 2nd was Disney.

So the movie is about two young girls (Satsuko and Mei) they move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother. It is never said what the mom has but its a illness she has had for a long time.

The girls find out there new home has "dust sprites" I think they are cute.

If you watch a lot of Miyazaki films you will notice he liked these little puff balls and had them come back in Spirited Away

Other characters have been used from this movie in other things such as Totoro is now the logo for studio Ghibli and he made a appearance in Toy Story 3. I was ecstatic to see him move around^_^

Satsuki and Mei also discover that the nearby forest is inhabited by magical creatures called Totoros  They soon befriend these Totoros, and have several magical adventures. I think the movie is something that everyone can enjoy. I have had my family over and we watched it aged from 16 to 3 and they all loved it and by the end they were all singing the totoro song. ^_^ It was so cute to see there reaction to this movie. I hope you get to see in and enjoy it as much as we did. It is geared more for little kids but being 29 I still find it fun to watch so its an all age family film.
